Ensure high-quality and safe operations in the Vehicle Engineering Pilot team by supporting and coordinating daily work activities. The engineering technician validates new designs for manufacturability, supports new product launch schedules, and maintains continuity of operations in the prototype shop or newly developed work cells. They consistently optimize process efficiency from beta builds through the ramp‑up of vehicle production. Additionally, they lead or support novel process development, as well as equipment fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
WhatYou'll Do
- Equipment installation, debugging, and commissioning in an automation production environment.
- Create and validate processes/equipment that solve for safety, ergonomics, manufacturability, quality, production rate, cost efficiency.
- Function as an expert in the group, fully understand vehicle stacking order, and perform standardized work for all stations with quality and within takt.
- Identify concerns, assess risk, and provide creative countermeasures.
- Evaluate new parts and provide feedback to design on how to improve.
- Fabrication and machining of jigs, fixtures and prototype parts.
- Shift flexible with high commitment & ability to work variable schedule including daily/weekend overtime as needed.
- Ability to repeat physical/mental activities, accuracy of work, responsible time management & prioritization skills.
- Problem solving skills that include root cause analysis, implementing countermeasures, and following up to ensure effectiveness. Demonstrated open mind with multiple solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead meetings and speak in front of groups.
- Experience with or ability to learn key systems/programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, Enovia/Catia/Delmia, Proplanner/Vizendo, MRT/Jira, MES/MOS and other subsystems.

$28.80 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
