Engineering Technician
Responsibilities- Execute tests: set up, perform inspections, conduct maintenance, and retrofit equipment.
- Document and report issues identified during tests or inspections.
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve mechanical and electrical issues discovered.
- Support engineers in instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Assist and learn from other technicians and engineers.
- Assemble and wire test fixtures.
- Read wiring diagrams.
- Work with fabrication equipment such as drills and band saws.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Utilize measurement tools such as multimeters, force gauges, and torque wrenches.
- Mechanical and electrical skills.
- Experience with hand tools and automotive systems.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Understanding of Ohm's Law.
- Ability to use basic measurement tools such as calipers, digital multimeters, and DAQs.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Basic experience with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Experience with low voltage components.
- Previous experience with CAN communication.

The work environment is primarily a lab at Kato, where your desk will also be located. The facility is currently undergoing some construction, but testing chambers are operational and situated next to all the necessary equipment. This environment provides an excellent opportunity for hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art technology and equipment.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.
Pay And BenefitsPay range: $35.00–$40.00/hr.
