Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing, organizing and controlling inventory of all the production-related equipment. It requires strong collaboration with multiple departments, including program management, receiving, procurement, and vendors.
Duties / Responsibilities- Consolidate fixture demand from different departments and provide fixture lists during the planning stage of the NPI.
- Contact vendors for quotations, submit PRs, and work with the financial team to complete equipment procurement.
- Track receiving status of equipment after purchase and report progress to the PM team to meet the project schedule.
- Receive equipment, label it, and manage equipment asset numbers.
- Control and transfer equipment between buildings for engineering teams.
- Submit orders for different teams weekly when there is equipment/tool demand; control expenses and execute purchase requisitions using SAP.
- Conduct routine cycle counts to ensure equipment inventory balancing.
- Track spare parts and consumables, their inventory, and cycle counts.
- Obtain cost approvals and initiate the repair process when equipment is broken.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills at all levels (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Chinese language is a plus to facilitate communication with Asia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering-related field, or 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience in SAP or other modern purchasing systems.
- Experience in warehouse, logistics and supply chain.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
