QualificationsSAP Experience is a plus or prior ERP experience. 2 years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations (shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management).
Ability to follow all work instructions and safety protocols.
Ability to understand the properties and hazards associated with chemicals and compressed gases.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a culture of "Do It Safely, Do It Right the First Time" with their actions and their words daily.
- Through observation of work area(s), be alert to and avoid unsafe behaviors and conditions or other hazards. Report any observed hazards to the supervisor. Strictly adhere to all safety policies including, but not limited to, HAZWOPER, Electronic Communications Policy (ECP), and LOTO policies.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
- Safely and efficiently operate assigned tasks to meet day‑to‑day productivity goals of the team.
- Follow all work processes and work instructions relevant to specific assignments.
- Prepare cylinders for shipments (removing old labels, painting, inspecting/checking, wrapping valve labeling with appropriate information per Air Liquide and D.O.T requirements, barcode scanning, loading on pallets, etc.).
- Perform shipping and receiving related ERP (SAP HANA) transactions.
- Ensure accuracy of all transactions within ERP (SAP HANA) to ensure accurate data for operational efficiency.
- Prepare shipping paperwork according to Air Liquide policy and D.O.T regulations.
- Contact common carriers and Air Liquide locations to coordinate delivery and pickup of cylinders and other materials.
- Ship, receive and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload carrier trucks.
- Load and unload sea containers, including appropriate blocking and bracing in line with IMO, IMDG, and customs requirements.
- Maintain inventory control records.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to locate a cylinder or canister.
- Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
- Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular inspections.
- Escalate any potential safety or quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Complete all assigned training.
- Ability to roll cylinders—rolling cylinders requires an individual to tilt a cylinder slightly with one hand and use the other to move the cylinder forward by rolling it.
- Fitness for duty, including but not limited to the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations (shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management).
- Ability to roll cylinders that weigh up to 200 lbs—rolling cylinders requires an individual to tilt a cylinder slightly with one hand and use the other to move the cylinder forward by rolling it.
- Ability to work at both ALAM Pennsylvania sites.
- Must be certified to drive a forklift.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to follow all work instructions and safety protocols.
- Ability to understand the properties and hazards associated with chemicals and compressed gases.
- Experience in filing IMO, AES, and ISF.
- Must be a quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges.
- Must be organized with attention to detail and the ability to follow directions to meet deadlines.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be very capable of regular interaction with all support departments.
