Job Responsibilities- Receive shipments, transfer materials to and from storage locations, package and palletize products, and perform other tasks necessary for efficient shipping and warehousing operations.
- Maintain high customer service standards consistently.
- Work proactively on multiple tasks with autonomy.
- Drive a culture of "Do It Safely, Do It Right the First Time" with daily actions and words.
- Observe work areas, avoid unsafe behaviors and conditions, and report hazards to supervisors.
- Strictly adhere to safety policies, including HAZWOPER, Electronic Communications Policy (ECP), and LOTO policies.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
- Operate assigned tasks efficiently to meet daily productivity goals.
- Follow all work processes and instructions relevant to specific assignments.
- Prepare cylinders for shipment by removing old labels, painting, inspecting, wrapping valve labels, scanning barcodes, and loading on pallets.
- Perform shipping and receiving transactions in ERP (SAP HANA) and ensure their accuracy.
- Prepare shipping paperwork per
*** policy and D.O.T regulations. - Contact common carriers and
*** locations to coordinate delivery and pickup of cylinders and materials. - Ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload carrier trucks.
- Load and unload sea containers, including blocking and bracing per IMO, IMDG, and customs requirements.
- Maintain inventory control records and conduct inventory cycle counts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to locate cylinders or canisters.
- Verify the accuracy of received deliveries in quantity and quality.
- Regularly inspect material handling equipment to keep it in best condition.
- Escalate potential safety or quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
- Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA, and MSDS standards.
- Complete all assigned training.
- Roll cylinders (tilt a cylinder slightly with one hand and use the other hand to roll it forward).
- Ensure fitness for duty, including lifting 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations (shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management).
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety protocols.
- Ability to understand the properties and hazards of chemicals and compressed gases.
- Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Docs, Sheets, & Slides.
- Experience in filing IMO, AES, and ISF.
- Certified forklift operator.
- Quick learner able to multitask and maintain focus in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for regular interaction with support departments.
- Fitness for duty, including the ability to lift 50 pounds, roll cylinders up to 200 lbs, climb ladders, and pass a respiratory and physical test for full‑face respirator use.
- Move around a large warehouse for eight or more hours daily.
- Lift 50 pounds regularly and climb ladders.
- Have significant manual dexterity for data entry over long periods.
- Be clean‑shaven and able to pass a respiratory test.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
- Ensure no alarms or interlocks are bypassed.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA, and MSDS Standards.
High School Diploma/Base of GED required.
