Job Title:

Software Development Engineer Job Description Join our Opto-Electronics team as a Software Engineer to lead the application design in Python for optical transceiver systems and parametric tests. You will play a crucial role in creating the architecture of test stations through testing design, layout, hardware integration, and software validation.

• Lead application design in Python for optical transceiver tests.
• Manage activities for test station validation and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R).
• Oversee processes changes via Change Request Boards (CRB) and Design Engineering Work Orders (EWO).
• Conduct technical analysis of optical parametric data for process and cycle time improvements.
• Collaborate within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and contribute to the Product Development Lifecycle (PDL) process for gate deliverables and data analysis.
• Support manufacturing ramps for continuous sustaining and improvements.
• Travel internationally and domestically up to 10%.

• Proficiency in Python software development.
• Experience in developing optical test software in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing and implementing automated systems for test, configuration, and process validation.
• Knowledge of production test environments, including SPC, OCAP, and 8D.
• Familiarity with Gitlab, Gitflow, and Labview.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience in software and test process optimization and improvements in a mass production environment.
• Experience managing complex and technical optical test-related projects.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and using Jira/Confluence for tracking and documentation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fremont, California. The pay range for this position is $120000.00 – $180000.00/yr. medical, dental, vision, flexible spending and health savings accounts, life insurance, ADD, disability, retirement, paid vacation/time off, educational assistance, and may also include infertility assistance, paid parental leave and adoption assistance.
