Job Description
The Fleet Service Technician or Service Truck Operator is responsible for performing non‑technical automotive service repairs, including all types of tire and wheel related services. This full‑time position primarily services farms and businesses with our on‑site fleet service truck. Must be able to perform all tire mounting and flat repairs on trucks, tractors, combines, farm and industrial equipment as well as passenger vehicles.
Will perform these functions in our shop or at customers location. Truck tire and on‑the‑farm and commercial tire service experience or education a plus. Will train.
- Professionally perform non‑technical automotive service repairs.
- Perform all tire and wheel related services following Motorist Assurance Program guidelines.
- Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above company standards.
- Document services performed.
- Follow company and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Follow safety rules and regulations.
- Regularly attend formal training to remain proficient in changing automotive technology.
- Maintain clean and organized service department.
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse, showroom and building exterior.
- Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; experience preferred but motivated candidates will be trained. - Physical:
Good physical health; ability to frequently lift 60 lbs; frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting, pushing, standing, stooping and walking; occasional climbing, crawling, crouching and reaching. - Working conditions:
Varying temperature and humidity; frequent exposure to vibrations, mechanical and electrical hazards; occasional fumes and dust; high noise level. - Licenses:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
