Club Manager – Baseline Fitness

Reports to:

District Manager
Status:
Full Time/Exempt

Job Summary

Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure positive member experience and a financially successful club.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
  • Member service oversight to provide a great customer service experience at all times.
  • Front desk leadership: greeting, welcoming, gym tours, member service issues/questions.
  • Support team members and club members.
  • Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
  • Coaching and counseling performance to help achieve company standards.
  • Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym.
  • Ensure staff are trained on current marketing promotions.
  • Complete manager portion of onboarding in Paycom for all new hires.
  • Ensure club open and staffed during all hours of business.
  • Implement and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Order supplies and track inventory.
  • Customer Service: exceed customer wants and needs.
  • Listening: actively listen, empathize, solve customer problems.
  • Problem Solving: recognize, define, analyze, plan to resolve situations.
  • Diplomacy: tact and skill in all interactions.
  • Communication: maintain timely and effective communication with staff, supervisors and departments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Honesty and good work ethic.
  • At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift.
  • Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
