Work with all functional areas to drive business performance, understand plant metrics, and react to improve plant outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Serve as Lean Leader for the facility
- Manage multiple customers in a JIT manner, maintaining world‑class quality and safety
- Lead and direct a workforce of hourly and salaried employees; manage supply base while minimizing inventory
- Develop manufacturing strategy, planning, cost reductions, and business planning with customers/partners
- Apply methods such as VIEW, VAVE, TQM to achieve goals and continuously improve systems, processes, and staff
- Implement and maintain continuous improvement processes
- Collaborate with accounting for financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Play an essential role in health & safety and quality audit processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Commerce
- 8–10 years progressive senior‑management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven general management skills, team building, JIT process manufacturing, automotive industry experience, cost management, material logistics, forecasting, planning, problem solving, conflict resolution, quality management, and customer relationship management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable legislation including Health and Safety & Environment, Employment, Industrial Relations, accounting principles, and supply contract administration
- In‑depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Kaizen
