Overview
The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Sanitation Coordinator to work at our sauces processing facility in Fremont, OH. The Sanitation Coordinator is a leadership role that supports the execution of routine and periodic sanitation at the Fremont plant. This position supports the sanitation manager and sanitation supervisor, leading sanitation activities across all areas of the plant during sanitation. The Sanitation Coordinator performs sanitation verification tasks to ensure sanitation was completed effectively.
The role coordinates scheduling changes, ensures resource needs are met, assigns work to meet the schedule, and ensures corrective actions are completed when sanitation verification metrics are not met. Sanitation activities can occur on all shifts during the week, with main sanitation starting on Friday or Saturday depending on the production schedule. This position provides support during weekend cleanup.
Currently hiring for non-union hourly position. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, midnights, OT. Pay Rate $30.00/hr.
Responsibilities & Duties- Must perform cycle counting activities and verify sanitation effectiveness through tasks that include inspection, observations of employee conformance to cleaning procedures, supporting cleaning method validations, and collecting swabs.
- Support and provide training for employees.
- Monitor safety of employees.
- Accountable for the scheduled routine and periodic sanitation cleaning within the plant and the grounds of the property.
- Assign the sanitation schedule plan created by the supervisor to the sanitation team and provide direction.
- Share responsibility for legality, employee and product safety, and environmental and quality systems at all times.
- Resolve sanitation issues and assist sanitation supervisors and sanitation managers to resolve supply and sanitation matters.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with the 7 steps of sanitation and plant GMPs.
- Undertake and complete special projects assigned by the sanitation manager or supervisor.
- Adhere to and enforce proper Lockout/Tagout procedures in the facility.
- Follow all departmental safety rules and regulations along with company policies.
- Complete all plant trainings and safety trainings to provide a safe and healthful work environment through the Kraft Heinz safety and training process.
- Enforce safety and GMP procedures and processes and administer corrective actions for violations of Kraft Heinz procedures and policies as needed.
- Be willing and able to complete other duties or projects as assigned by department and company needs.
- Improve accountability for all sanitation-related activities or tasks.
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of sanitation experience
- Evidence of leadership responsibilities such as leading others and self-directed work
- Experience in areas such as sanitation, production, problem solving, facility repair, and Quality Assurance
