Job SummaryService Sales Representative – sell service contracts and promote and sell Fire Sprinkler services and small Fire Sprinkler installation projects or remodels to contractors and end users within an assigned territory and accounts. Build new business relationships and grow the sprinkler service business. Requires fast‑paced multi‑tasked environment with focus on sales and customer service and travel to customer sites.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Identify, select, and develop new and existing customer accounts.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, ensuring satisfaction with products and services.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and actively resolve customer problems.
- Quote customers for service and follow‑up impairments.
- Grow service base by selling commercial service products & solutions to new and existing customers, including repair service, modernization and service agreements.
- Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from order to delivery and beyond.
- Perform customer surveys as required/requested.
- Develop and maintain vendor relations.
- Obtain all required licensing and manufacturer certifications.
- Complete scheduling and execution of monthly calls as assigned.
- Execute all company processes and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
- Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image.
- Read architectural and mechanical drawings to determine proper sprinkler locations for new construction and remodel projects.
- Travel to customer and job sites as required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience selling service contracts in the Fire Protection industry required.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25 required.
- Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection required.
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record required.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
