Overview of the Accounting Manager role:
- Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
- Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Partner with external auditors and internal teams during audits and financial reviews
- Evaluate, enhance, and maintain internal controls, while driving process improvements and efficiencies
- Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proven ability to improve processes and work cross-functionally
