Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Stardom Employment Consultants is seeking a hands‑on Contract Controller for a manufacturing client that needs timely financial statement cleanup and stronger reporting accuracy. This project‑based role will assess current records, resolve discrepancies, and deliver reliable financials to support business decisions.

• Review and clean up balance sheet and income statement accounts, including reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Investigate and resolve historical discrepancies, misclassifications, and unreconciled balances.
• Validate inventory, work‑in‑process, cost of goods sold, and standard costing records.
• Review general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, and month‑end close procedures.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and clearly document adjustments.
• Identify gaps in accounting processes and recommend practical improvements.
• Coordinate with operations and finance staff to obtain records and confirm transaction details.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Several years of accounting or controllership experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven experience cleaning up financial statements and reconciling complex accounts.
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Detail‑oriented problem solver able to meet deadlines in a contract assignment.
• Clear communication skills and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.
