26 is looking for a creative part‑time (10 hours a week, weekend nights) News Photographer/Editor/Writer. We are seeking someone who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. We also need someone who loves to learn new things, can write stories for digital and linear newscasts, and is skilled with using technology for live shots with reporters. The candidate should have 1 year of shooting experience within a college or work setting.

You will cover day‑to‑day general news assignments on weekend nights. We are shooting full high definition (HD) on media cards and editing on desktops and laptops. You should have strong editing skills in non‑linear edit systems, possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude. A passion for storytelling is absolutely essential in this position.

• At least 1 year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Team‑player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and be able to operate ENG news vehicles
• Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots and natural sound packages
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

The hourly compensation range for this role is $16.90‑$17.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
