26 is seeking a Photographer/Video Journalist to join our team. This role requires expertise in shooting and operating professional video cameras and related equipment, with a strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. We’re looking for someone who thrives in the fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment of daily local news coverage. Candidates that thrive and live on social media are a plus.

We want someone that is a fast learner, works well with others, and wants to help our audience better understand the world around them.

• Be highly motivated with a proven track record in news production (can be in a college campus setting).
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
• Be a natural problem solver who can meet constant deadlines across multiple platforms.

Please note: This is a broadcast video journalist position—not a still photography role. The schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

• 1–2 years of experience shooting and editing video content.
• Proficiency in editing and shooting general assignment stories, working alongside reporters, conducting live shots, and assembling packages.
• Passion for storytelling and strong non‑linear editing skills (desktop and laptop systems).
• Excellent people skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to produce compelling stories under tight deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to operate ENG news vehicles.
• Physical ability to regularly lift and carry 30 lbs. or more.
• Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Submission of a link to your online demo reel or portfolio showcasing recent work is required.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $16.90–$17.90 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full‑time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
