UCSF Fresno & VACCHCS – Psychiatry Faculty

The University of California, San Francisco Fresno Medical Education Program (UCSF Fresno) and Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System, Fresno (VACCHCS) are seeking candidates for full or part-time faculty positions at the VACCHCS in Fresno. Duties may include but are not limited to:

The VACCHCS is a core training site for the UCSF Fresno Residency training program in numerous specialties and fellowships including psychiatry. With a faculty appointment, opportunities for resident supervision, teaching, and clinical research will be available and encouraged. Responsibilities will include supervision of psychiatric residents, fellows, and medical students on core and elective psychiatry rotations at the VACCHCS, participation in UCSF Fresno Psychiatry Grand Rounds, and didactic seminar series.

Candidates must be either board certified or eligible in Psychiatry (US Boards); must be California medical licensed or eligible to obtain a California medical license; and must have completed Psychiatry residency training. The program is based in Fresno, California, offering a high standard of living with a low cost of living, abundant recreational opportunities, and proximity to national parks and major cities. Fresno is conveniently located within a few hours of San Francisco and Los Angeles, and near Yosemite National Park.

For positions exclusively funded by the affiliate organization, VACCHCS provided a salary estimate of $250,000-$300,000.
