Position DescriptionThe UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and the Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG), dba Inspire Health, are seeking a physician to join the teaching faculty. The position will provide palliative care consultations within Community Medical Center (CMC) and serve as an expert for the academic and clinical functions of an active and growing Palliative Care Fellowship training service. The program includes inpatient and outpatient components within the division of Palliative Medicine in collaboration with the regional hospital, and an embedded outpatient clinic within the Cancer Center for continuity of care to cancer patients.
Responsibilities- Provide palliative care consultations at CMC.
- Serve as a mentor and educator for the Palliative Care Fellowship training program.
- Engage in clinical research and community practice in Palliative Care.
- Participate in administrative and educational leadership activities.
- Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Board certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
- California licensed or eligible to obtain a California license.
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient palliative care settings (preferred).
The salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Inspire Health has provided a salary estimate of $245,000–$270,000.
