Fogg Remington Eye Care is looking for a patient-focused Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with strong surgical skills to join our busy, multi-specialty eye care team. With a well-established referral network and a large, diverse patient base, this role offers the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of general ophthalmology—from routine and complex eye exams to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular diseases and conditions.
As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care while working closely with subspecialists, optometrists, and dedicated support staff to deliver the best outcomes for our patients.
Fogg Remington Eye Care has been part of the Central Valley community since 1967, bringing together optometry, ophthalmology, and optical services in one practice. Our team of two full-time, partner MDs (annual surgical volume: 2,700), one part-time ophthalmologist, four associate MDs, and 10 optometrists provides care across four clinics and two surgery centers in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera, making us one of the region’s largest eye care providers.
With an annual volume of more than a combined 68,000 patient visits Fogg Remington Eye Care is a thriving practice, well-positioned to add another high-performing ophthalmologist to our practice. What truly sets us apart, though, is our culture—physicians here enjoy a collaborative, patient-focused environment where teamwork and quality of care come first, while still maintaining independence in clinical care and decision-making.
Community
Located in California’s San Joaquin Valley, the Fresno-Clovis area offers a rare combination of exceptional value and quality of life. Fresno’s overall cost of living is about 30% lower than the California average, making everyday essentials far more affordable. Housing is especially attractive: with median home prices closer to $250,000, the market is significantly more accessible than coastal cities like San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Nationally, Fresno ranks 41st among large U.S. cities for housing affordability, underscoring its financial advantages.
Fresno and neighboring Clovis are welcoming, family-oriented communities with strong, nationally-ranked K–12 school systems, and two universities, including the nationally recognized Fresno State Bulldogs. Thanks to the region’s optimal climate, residents enjoy a lively year-round calendar of arts, cultural festivals, farmers markets and a range of year-round sports. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, the area serves as a vibrant inland hub for outdoor living and recreation—with Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks just an hour away, and California’s scenic Central Coast (San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Cayucos, Cambria, Avila Beach, Monterey, Santa Cruz) within a short two- to three-hour drive, making for a great weekend getaway.
