Position DescriptionJoin the University of California, San Francisco Fresno Medical Education Program and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG), dba Inspire Health, as a Trauma /Acute Care Surgeon for Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno. Applicants must be board eligible or certified (preferred) in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Must have completed a AAST approved, 2‑year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or a 1‑year Surgical Critical Care fellowship with subsequent faculty experience in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide patient care, demonstrate research activity across basic science, injury prevention, or education, and teach in a fully accredited 5‑year surgical residency program.
Community Regional Medical Center is a 650‑bed academically affiliated regional referral center and Level 1 Trauma Center and Burn Center located in Fresno, California.
Responsibilities- Commitment to patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in a fully accredited 5‑year surgical residency.
- Engage in research activity across basic science, injury prevention, or education.
- Participate in faculty activities and maintain clinical excellence.
- Board eligible or certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
- Completion of a AAST approved, 2‑year Acute Care Surgery fellowship or a 1‑year Surgical Critical Care fellowship.
- Subsequent faculty experience in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery.
- Commitment to academic surgery and education.
- Ability to demonstrate research activity.
Salary and faculty appointment are commensurate with experience. Inspire Health has provided a reasonable salary estimate: $325,000–$375,000.
