The Department of Plant Scienceis seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants.
The successful applicant will offer instructional assistance to faculty in the Department of Plant Science at California State University, Fresno. Under supervision, an Instructional Assistant will perform grading for the majority of work hours in a given appointment in the Department of Plant Science over the course of an academic term.
The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

The Department of Plant Science at California State University, Fresno is located in the nation s most productive agricultural valley. These include pomology, olericulture, agronomy, environmental horticulture, soils, irrigation, economic entomology, plant pathology, weed science, and mechanized agriculture.

Hours
: 0-20 hours per week.
Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course:
- Evaluate/grade student assignments
- Regular meetings with the course instructor(s)
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background.
Preferred Qualifications
:
- B.Sc. Degree in Plant Science, or similar field
