The Department of Liberal Studies is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants.

Applicants will support sections of Liberal Studies (LS) 115 – Understanding and Applying Social Science Content, Pedagogy, and Technology in K‑12.

• ISAs will assist with instruction of LS 115 during the following semester and may also have opportunities to support additional introductory courses within the Liberal Studies Department.
• This position primarily works remotely, with the following schedule:
  Mondays/Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., when faculty teach their courses.

The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

Spring 2026:
January 15, 2026 - May 22, 2026

Hours: 0‑20 hours per week.

• Maintain and submit student records and grades
• Evaluate student assignments
• Google Forms, Sheets, Slide, Notebook LM, and other applications
• Proficient with video editing software (i.e., iMovie, Panopto)

• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite and applications, and Research Report Writing

• Have a masters in the Education field
• Enrolled in a current master’s degree program, including but not limited to:
  • Student Affairs and College Counseling (SACC) or
  • Higher Education and Administrative Leadership (HEAL)
