  • EES 9. Introduction to Earth Science
  • EES 102S Sedimentology
  • EES 106 Structural Geology
  • EES 106F Structural Geology Field Methods
  • EES 108 Soil and Water Sciences
  • EES 112. Planet Earth through Time
  • EES
    117 Hydrogeology
  • EES 167. Oceans and Atmosphere and Climate
  • EES 168. California's Earth System
  • NSCI 115. Environmental Earth and Life Science
  • Other courses as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students
Instructor Responsibility

Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university policies as directed by the Academic Policy Manual. Responsibilities include preparing, delivering, conducting, proctoring, and grading lectures, office hours, homework, quizzes, class projects, and exams. All courses must meet as scheduled throughout the semester in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid).

Required Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science or a closely related field.
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence built on merit, talent, diversity, accessibility and equal opportunity for all.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Geology, Environmental Science or a closely related field.
  • A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, evidenced by prior teaching experience and evaluations.
  • Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
