Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of work performed, reviewing materials, work quality and adherence to design drawings. Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities.
- Ensure construction work meets or exceeds required quality standards, technical specifications, and industry regulations.
- Take appropriate action when construction work does not conform to specifications and standards, applying engineering judgement to resolve issues at the lowest level.
- Serve as the liaison between the project team and field activities, coordinating and communicating effectively.
- Ensure the site follows all health, safety and environmental policies and regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Maintain daily logs, inspection records and other documentation required by the client and funding agencies.
- Provide detailed progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. - Certifications:
Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) recommended; ACI Concrete Field‑Testing Technician certification preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials and quality control processes.
- Logical use of engineering and analytical skills to solve construction issues at the lowest level.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Flexibility in thinking and behavior to adapt to changes in projects and work environment.
- Irreproachable ethics and integrity in accordance with standards of conduct.
- Highly motivated, able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision while collaborating with the team.
- Development and maintenance of client and professional relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Hourly Rate: $120 – $180K annually (varies by knowledge, skills, experience and market location).
