Job SummaryEnterprise Systems Engineer
Principal Duties And Responsibilities- Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front‑end graphical user interface.
- Integrate multiple systems, enabling different protocols to communicate and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.
- Execute project start‑ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
- Participate in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with the customer’s IT Department personnel.
- Work with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
- Run semi‑complex reports to analyze system operation and demonstrate consistency with the contracted scope of work.
- Participate in final inspection and testing, assure customer acceptance, and conduct training for end‑user customers on system operations.
- Mentor other specialists may need specific automation or HVAC product knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems – unitary systems to central plants.
- Troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer/controller issues.
- General understanding of IP networks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Knowledge of object‑oriented programming (Java, C++).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
- Experience with BACnet and/or LON, Lonworks Control Systems, Tridium NIAGARA AX/NIAGARA 4/Distech/Eclypse, Direct Digital Controls, Honeywell Webs, MODbus, Alerton, Johnson Controls FX, Staefa, Solidyne, Andover Controls, Siemens, and Schneider preferred.
$55.00 - $70.00 per hour
