Job Description SummaryThe Assistant Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for supervising electrical projects to successful completion. This role is full‑time on a jobsite in Los Banos, CA and requires travel. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities and Duties- Perform all Assistant Superintendent job responsibilities as required.
- Enforce and promote all company safety procedures and policies; lead by example and participate in Safety Training Programs.
- Assist the Electrical Superintendent in coordinating all aspects of constructability for the electrical scope of utility‑scale solar projects.
- Review and interpret contracts, proposals, drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals from pre‑construction through site build‑out with project and engineering teams.
- Support preparation and maintenance of project schedules (CPM) to ensure timely completion and adherence to milestones.
- Recruit, organize, train, and coordinate field construction teams, including subcontractors and direct hire personnel.
- Promote quality control by setting and maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Order and track materials, tools, and equipment to ensure timely availability and avoid “crisis” purchasing.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, work orders, and invoice approvals.
- Attend and participate in pre‑job, progress, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Assist in start‑up testing, commissioning, and turnover to the Owner, ensuring documentation and acceptance are completed.
- Review and process punch lists promptly to ensure full project close‑out.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Superintendent and site team to ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and other resources.
- Provide day‑to‑day field leadership; oversee and direct subcontractors and assist in managing multiple crews on active job sites.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain schedule, safety, and quality standards.
- Mentor, coach, and train subordinates, including General Foremen, Foremen, and crew members, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide positive feedback to support leadership development.
- Help identify future field leaders through observation, interaction, and assigned tasks.
- Assist in hiring and disciplinary decisions in coordination with project leadership.
- Verify all work meets or exceeds required quality, safety, and workmanship standards.
- Support and maintain Solv Energy’s culture of safety, teamwork, and communication.
- Assist site teams with RFIs, submittals, and project documentation as needed.
- Maintain working knowledge of commissioning and testing procedures related to the solar industry.
- Act as Solv Energy’s liaison with Owners, subcontractors, and on‑site teams.
- Collaborate closely with other Superintendents and field leaders across all levels.
- Lead and coordinate all electrical subcontractors, testing agencies, and commissioning teams.
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a high standard of electrical safety.
- Collaborate effectively with mechanical and civil teams to ensure a well‑run, successful project.
- Travel as required to support multiple project sites (fully expensed).
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Prefer 5 years’ field construction experience at supervisory level.
- Prefer 3 years’ experience in utility‑scale solar.
- Knowledge of OSHA laws, NFPA 70E, and NEC standards and codes.
- Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control.
- Prefer 2 years’ utility‑scale solar commissioning experience.
