About You Lend
You Lend provides technology and financing solutions that help our partners offer fast, flexible funding to their merchants.

We have built a strong product, secured significant partnerships, and grown quickly. The global opportunity remains substantial, and we are still early in our journey. This gives our people the chance to take ownership, influence how we work, and grow alongside the business.

We are now expanding our Credit Decisions team to meet growing demand for our technology and services.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Credit Decisions Analyst who is analytical, curious, and ready to take action.

You will use You Lend’s proprietary tools to assess and price merchant financing applications. You will review financial and operational information, identify potential risks, and support accurate, timely credit decisions.

You will also work closely with our Credit Risk team, contribute ideas to improve our processes, and help ensure that the information used to make each decision is accurate and complete.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical experience in underwriting and credit risk within a fast-growing fintech business.

  • Use Excel and internal tools to analyze financial and operational data.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and potential risks that may affect a merchant’s creditworthiness.
  • Assess applications and make or recommend clear, well-reasoned credit decisions.
  • Validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of information provided for each deal.
  • Clearly document the reasoning behind each decision.
  • Escalate complex or higher-risk applications when appropriate.
  • Work closely with other teams to support consistent decision-making.
  • Manage applications efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Suggest improvements to processes, controls, automation, and internal tools.
  • Contribute feedback as You Lend’s credit decisioning processes continue to develop.

  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data visualization.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The confidence to explain your reasoning and contribute to discussions.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
  • An interest in credit risk, financial analysis, data, and technology.

Relevant experience can come from employment, internships, academic work, or other practical settings.

Nice-to-haves
  • Previous experience in credit, underwriting, lending, financial analysis, or another data-focused role.
  • A degree or equivalent practical experience in finance, economics, data science, mathematics, or a related subject.
  • An understanding of small-business finance, cash-flow analysis, or credit risk principles.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or a fast-growing technology business.
