Per Diem Retail Pharmacist – Elm CHC at Clinica Sierra Vista. Join our team focused on patient‑centered care for a diverse community.

$76.59/hr – $82.21/hr

• Base salary (commensurate with experience)
• Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance for provider and family
• Paid CME
• Loan repayment through the NHSC

• Directs and coordinates all pharmacy activities and supervises pharmacy personnel.
• Initiates, develops, and carries out rules and regulations pertaining to administrative and professional policies of the department.
• Maintains drug formulary and encourages use of formulary systems to reduce duplication and support efficient purchasing.
• Serves as drug consultant to the medical staff to develop best drug usage programs.
• Supervises inventory of pharmacy stock periodically and ensures proper storage and regulatory compliance.
• Places orders with suppliers, verifies receipt of merchandise, and approves bills for payment by accounting.
• Maintains sources of information on pharmaceuticals, compendia, reference texts, and journals; advises medical staff on drug information.
• Establishes and maintains records and bookkeeping, controls requisitioning and dispensing of pharmaceutical supplies, keeps controlled drug invoices on file.
• Compounds and dispenses medications to fill prescriptions, warns of possible side effects and contraindications.
• Educates patients regarding therapy and monitors drug therapy.
• Provides in‑service education of clinic personnel regarding pharmacology, therapeutics, and related topics.
• Available to the community for educational projects regarding drugs.

• Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Must have a California license;
  Doctor of Pharmacology degree preferable but not required.
• Three years experience as a practicing clinical pharmacist preferable.
• Bilingual (Spanish‑English) reading, writing, and speaking preferable.
