Staff Attorney - Martinez, Dieterich & Zarcone Legal Group; Clovis

We are seeking a Staff Attorney to become a part of our Fresno team! You will represent clients in civil legal proceedings including trials, draw up legal documents, and advise clients on legal transactions related to civil defense litigation. This is a wonderful opportunity for attorneys seeking civil trial experience.

• Handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial, with reduced caseload in order to manage the office
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, demands and responses
• Draft reports and provide file analysis
• Handle litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established for Staff Counsel for Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc., and the Loya Insurance Group

• Superior awareness of and compliance with all applicable rules of professional conduct
• Substantial experience in civil litigation, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experience
• Comprehensive legal knowledge which promotes standards of professional practice and strong knowledge of the litigation environment in California

• Member in good standing with the State Bar of California
• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experience
• Strong research and writing skills and excellent work ethic required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000 - $190,000 per year depending on experience with $5,000 sign-on bonus
