REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION & COMPLIANCE MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: ARC COMMAND

STATUS: EXEMPT

SUPERVISOR: REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

SALARY: $85,000.00 Annually

JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Transportation & Compliance Manager supports multiple warehouse/Work Therapy Unit (WTU) sites to ensure smooth and efficient operations, driving performance in transportation, logistics, and compliance. This role fosters collaboration across sites, provides coaching to staff, and ensures adherence to operational guidelines and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) focusing on Transportation and product flow. The position also plays a key role in supporting vehicle fleets, equipment/site maintenance, and promoting a safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL

JOB DUTIES Operations Management
  • Ensure compliance with transportation, safety, and operational standards across regional WTU units.
  • Manage logistics for transportation and product flow to retail stores, focusing on efficiency in routing and inventory control.
  • Collaborate and partner with Donor Development to execute and support ongoing donation acquisition.
  • Analyze shipping effectiveness and coordinate product transport to meet store allocation needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of vehicles, products, and off‑site storage locations, ensuring fleet and product is secured.
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and machinery are regularly inspected and maintained.
  • Oversee auction and commodity sales processes to maximize sales and ensure policy compliance.
Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DOT, state, local and federal regulations across all facilities and vehicles.
  • Lead the execution of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), conducting regular audits and safety meetings.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing warehouse/WTU safety standards, yard and facility maintenance requirements, and IIPP protocols.
  • Monitor compliance with fleet maintenance programs, including BITs inspections and e‑waste regulations.
  • Ensure on‑site record keeping complies with all TSA, local, state and federal requirements.
  • Manage Smart Drive program to reduce claims and accidents.
Staff Management and Training
  • Train, coach and manage warehouse staff, including drivers and donation attendants, to maximize operational efficiency, support Program mission objectives, and meet performance goals.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and skills training to develop operations and transportation leaders and teams.
  • Evaluate staff performance, develop action plans, and address areas for improvement.
Budget and Financial Oversight
  • Monitor and manage budgeted expenses for multiple locations, ensuring efficient operations within financial constraints.
  • Regularly review financial statements, identify roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to improve net contribution.
Reporting and Communication
  • Communicate progress on regional and corporate goals through weekly, monthly, and annual reports and meetings.
  • Conduct regular audits of operations processes; provide feedback to regional staff/site teams and follow up regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
Miscellaneous
  • Regularly visit assigned WTU units as determined by supervisor.
  • Provide leadership/direction in absence of the Regional Director of Operations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree, equivalent transportation certifications or experience preferred.
  • Minimum five years of verifiable paid work experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
  • Minimum two years of verifiable paid work experience supervising multiple warehouse units.
  • Experience supervising program participants, volunteers, or teams of 10+ individuals (preferred).
  • Demonstrated understanding of general warehouse logistics, equipment safety, and purchasing (preferred).
  • Valid CA driver's license with the ability to pass an MVR check required.
