Mechanical Engineer/Kaizen Specialist needed paying 75k-95k/year
6 month contract to hire with good performance
Must have:
- 3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD and/or Solid Works)
- Experience with process design, process/continuous improvement
Description
Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Manager to develop and execute Kaizen initiatives throughout the manufacturing facility.
Conduct Kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions to educate and engage employees at all levels in continuous improvement practices.
Identify areas for improvement within manufacturing processes through observation, data analysis, and employee feedback.
Develop and implement small-scale, incremental improvements to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented Kaizen initiatives, ensuring sustained performance and adherence to standards.
Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive improvement projects and achieve set goals.
Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for further improvement.
Document and standardize improved processes to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Prepare and present reports on Kaizen initiatives and their outcomes to management.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Kaizen and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment
Experience with process design, process/continuous improvement
Strong experience in LEAN principles
Experience in metal fabrication/assembly over food production preferred
Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD and/or Solid Works)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FRESNO, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
