Manual Machinist – Welding & Line

Quinn Company, your local Caterpillar dealer, is looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our Fresno team!

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $43.92 - $55.95

We are seeking a skilled professional with hands-on experience in manual machining, conventional lathes, line boring, and threading. Welding experience is highly preferred.

• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Perform line boring, threading, and precision machining.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Set up machines and produce parts to required specifications.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Heavy equipment or industrial machining and repair.
• Welding, fabrication, and component restoration.
• Caterpillar or other heavy equipment components.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and climb as needed.
• Ability to work in shop and field conditions as required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of manual machining experience.
• Experience with conventional lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Knowledge of line boring and threading operations.
• Welding experience highly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
