Overview

San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital is a 62‑bed acute rehab facility focused on helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses. We offer a collaborative, fast‑paced environment where staff get to know patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical functions on the unit, incorporating nursing process per Nurse Practice Act.
  • Work under direction of the RN to ensure smooth, organized, efficient unit operations.
  • Provide direct patient care, supervise, and delegate nursing functions.
  • Maintain clinical competence, manage patient care, improve quality, build professional relationships, and develop specialty expertise.
Required Skills
  • Current, valid license as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in California.
  • Current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
  • IV Certification.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • Preferable 1 year clinical experience in a health‑care setting.
  • Preferable 3 years medical/surgical experience.
  • Preferable 1 year area‑specific experience.
  • Professional appearance and strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
  • Independent decision‑making ability.
  • Computer and software proficiency.
  • Drug and alcohol use free in the workplace.
