Quality Assurance Chemist - Food Safety

Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
Hours:
M-F 8-5
Compensation: $25-$29/hour
Position Overview:Join a dynamic team focused on food safety and quality control in a safety-sensitive environment. You'll play a critical role in testing, quality assurance, and providing technical expertise to support operations and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct chemical testing and analysis on products and incoming raw materials.
- Perform food safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee quality control processes for bulk chemicals and repackaged products.
- Prepare solutions, reagents, and other materials as required for testing procedures.
- Serve as a technical resource, providing chemical and product information to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Monitor repackaging operations to maintain product integrity and quality standards.
- 2-5 years of professional chemistry experience.
- Strong background in analytical testing and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols preferred.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
