KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage and schedule business for the current day and look ahead up to 90 days
- Function as the primary professional point of contact for customers, providing updates on status and resolving issues regarding order changes or delays.
- Communicate constantly with Sales Representatives, Plant Managers, and Production Coordinators
- Use recorded communication and order logs to professionally resolve disputes regarding delivery times or product quantities.
- Execute all company policies with a proactive focus on safety. Attend regular safety meetings and ensure all drivers are compliant with site‑specific safety protocols.
- Maintain meticulous logs of unusual situations for future reference and liability protection.
- Answer the dispatch phone to take day‑of and future orders for both Fresno and Visalia Asphalt.
- Book and verify schedules for the following day and manage the upcoming schedule in advance.
- Enter customer orders into apex.
- Answer the phone to take new orders, change/cancel orders and answer customer questions regarding asphalt products, progress on current jobs and potential delays
- Work with sales and QC to ensure job accuracy.
- Maintain constant contact with plant operators and daily customers for tonnages
- Mark jobs complete as they are finishing
- Handle all credit card transactions accurately and send all paperwork to accounting in a timely manner.
- Assist any drivers with questions they may have while on site.
High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
Work Experience1+ years of related experience in the Construction or Logistics industry.

Ability to sit for extended shifts.
High visual acuity for reading detailed reports and multiple computer monitors simultaneously.
Capacity to manage a high volume of inbound calls and radio traffic without loss of accuracy.
High demand for reading detailed reports, tracking software, and entering data into central order systems.
Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Working ConditionsHigh-stress and fast‑paced. Must be able to resolve "conflicting demands" such as equipment breakdowns, driver delays, and urgent customer requests simultaneously.
The hiring range for this position is $26.00 -$35.00 exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members.
The hiring range for this role represents the base compensation we expect to pay for the position at time of hire and does not represent the total possible base pay of the position.
