This position is responsible for mechanical repairs and servicing a full line of heavy equipment products. The technician will perform highly technical maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on Volvo Construction Equipment machinery, including components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical and structural repairs, including welding. Additional duties include providing consistent communication with customers, vendors, and internal/external staff. The technician must demonstrate safe and proper judgment in all tool and equipment use, championing a "Safety First," "Customer Focused," and continuous improvement culture.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities / Authorities:

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience working on construction-related equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Frequent travel required.

Physical Requirements:

• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
• Prolonged sitting/standing, frequent stooping, bending, crouching, and overhead reaching; occasional climbing.
• Occasional lifting over 50 lbs; frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Work around loud, noisy, dusty environments.
• Proper handling of pneumatic and electric tools.

The base pay ranges from $30.00 to $34.00/hour, with potential bonuses, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement plans, safety and wellness programs, and professional development opportunities.
