Betts Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Fresno, CA. This senior-level role is responsible for diagnosing complex equipment issues, performing advanced repairs, and leading key maintenance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level skills in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, and play a vital role in training and mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Lead and manage maintenance projects, including upgrades and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and control systems.
• Conduct advanced welding, machining, and fabrication tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure accurate documentation.
• Train, mentor, and support development of junior maintenance staff.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and OSHA standards.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Forklift certification required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert troubleshooting skills for PLCs, VFDs, CNC machinery, and industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical schematics.
• Leadership skills with experience training or mentoring others.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Tools & Equipment Used

• Lifting/Rigging: Boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, ladders, hoists
• Machining/Fabrication: Lathe, mill, drill press, sheet metal shear, presses
• Welding/Cutting: Plasma cutter, torch, MIG/TIG/ARC welders, soldering iron
• Finishing Tools: Grinders, sanders
• Electrical/Mechanical: Multi-meters, hydraulic controls, power and hand tools
• Industrial Systems: Furnaces, air compressors, burners, plumbing, pneumatics

Physical Requirements

• Lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
• Stand, bend, stoop, climb for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if needed
