Your Future TeamOur Fresno office is seeking a Housing Specialist to support our local program in securing, furnishing and maintaining affordable housing options for young adults learning to live independently. Aspiranet’s Transition Age Youth (TAY) programs offer assistance that is client‑centered, trauma‑informed, and reflective of best practice standards in the field. Aspiranet’s Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) services close a critical gap for youth preparing to exit the foster care system toward independent living. Serving youth ranging in age from 18 to 25, our multi‑faceted approach ensures they receive guidance to support housing, employment, education, wellness, and other needs for a successful transition.
Your Skills And Duties- Under the direction of the Program Director, the Housing Specialist researches and secures sufficient program resources (housing, furnishings, and household supplies).
- Assists in the establishment and monitoring of monthly payments, inclusive of rent and utilities.
- Completes initial, ongoing, and exit apartment inspections to maintain housing standards.
- AA degree or two years of experience in a professional office handling petty cash, disbursement of funds, and data entry. Proficient in Outlook and Excel. Must be organized and detail oriented. Experience with apartment rental market preferred. Good people skills.
- Meets all state‑required conditions of employment as set forth by funder and regulatory body; i.e., Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.
Compensation: $18–$20/Hour
