Availability Preferred: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with on‑call availability.
Pay Range: $45.54 to $56.93 / hour.
Lead and direct aircraft maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration performed by A&P Technicians, Avionics Technicians, and Interior Technicians.
Responsibilities- Directly supervise Crew Chief I and II, as well as A&P Technicians, Avionics Technicians, and Interior Technicians; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensure that maintenance schedules are met by coordinating the optimum mix of manpower, equipment, shop space, material availability, and technical data.
- Assign and supervise the work of technicians; assist in problem cases as required.
- Ensure that aircraft and operation records are maintained in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Instruct assigned personnel in all applicable safety regulations; monitor to ensure compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new aircraft systems, methods, and maintenance equipment.
- Frequently coordinate with customer representatives and other departments.
- Assist with invoicing and related tasks.
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Assist and train other technicians in repair of systems, structures, flight control, and engine rigging when needed.
- Hold inspection authority at repair station; authorized to return aircraft to service post‑maintenance or modification.
- Create estimates for customer approval.
- Act as direct supervisor or manager backup and assume responsibilities.
- Comply with the location’s attendance and tardiness standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regularly perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing.
- Frequently sit.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.
- Read and interpret safety rules, installation, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Write defect and repair statements.
- Perform simple math calculations and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
- Wear uniform and insignia as prescribed by the company.
- Report to work in a regular and timely manner.

- Must have A&P license (or Repairman related to position for Avionics and/or Interiors).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have 10+ years of relevant aviation experience.
- Must have experience as a Crew Chief II or similar; training may include military training, an aeronautical academy, or technical school training, and/or an Aviation Associates Degree.
- Must have proven mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Must have proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to give technical advice and work with personnel from other departments.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Must have basic computer skills.
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including skill sets, education, shift worked, responsibilities, seniority, geographical market, merit, output, productivity, prior training or experience, and travel. The pay range for this position is $45.54 to $56.93 / hour.
