Person in this position will be responsible for the general transportation needs. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

• Safely transports program participants.
• Ensures all passengers are properly secured and fosters good rapport with passengers.
• Operates vehicle in all-weather conditions.
• Operates wheelchair lift properly for loading and unloading.
• Ensures all wheelchair equipment is stored properly prior to movement of vehicle.
• Assists with donation pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain records for vehicle service including mileage and transportation logs.
• Maintenance on a daily basis of vehicles used for participant transportation.
• Performs, documents, and submits daily vehicle condition inspection reports to ensure the safe operation and cleanliness of West Care vehicles.
• Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of West Care Foundation; and
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Must possess knowledge of common methods, practices and materials used in maintenance and repair work of buildings and building facilities.
• Must be familiar with the various tools used in building maintenance and repair work and their proper employment and care.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be sensitive to populations served.
• Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain clearance from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
• Valid driver’s license (Class B is preferred) and ability to obtain and maintain West Care’s vehicle insurance is required; and
• CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
• As mandated by Presidential Order all employees of West Care Foundation, Inc. and all affiliates of West Care Foundation, Inc. will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective 11/1/2021. Employees that have requested a Medical or Religious Exemption, which has been approved by Human Resources will be required to test for the virus weekly.
• During your tenure with West Care there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that West Care may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.

• One (1) year experience within a social service setting or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals and groups in a confined setting is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Work is primarily performed in a residential treatment facility.
• Transportation of clients in company vehicle; and
• Some outdoor activities may be required.
