Warehouse II

Position Description

Pay Rate: $19.50

The primary focus of the Warehouse II role is movement of product within the warehouse. In addition, this role will serve as back‑up delivery driver for non‑CDL trucks. This is a general labour position that will prioritize and pick product to fill orders, and physically move and lift product weighing as much as 150 pounds.

• Assist in administrative tasks, such as the handling and preparation of paperwork, and may help in the daily closing of the warehouse.
• Verify all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size and type; report inventory and supply shortages and help with periodic inventory counts.
• Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, overstocks and returns to vendors; segregate defective product from normal inventory flow.
• Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
• Designate and organize the warehouse stock by product line and physical alignment to allow sufficient overflow space.
• Load and unload delivery trucks—lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; handle large tires (rolling, destacking, team lifting) weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) safely and maintain an operator licence, if required.
• Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial/housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning the parking lot, loading dock and surrounding area; keep floors clear of debris, maintain bathrooms and assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
• Prioritize and pick materials for order fulfillment and stage them for loading.

• High School or GED degree.
• 1‑2 years of related experience preferred.

• Physical demands: must occasionally stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; may lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds and handle tires (rolling, destacking, team lifting) weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Vision: close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment: exposed to prevailing weather conditions; moderate noise level.
• Travel: 5% of the time.
