Our client is an innovative Swiss engineering company specializing in the design and manufacture of high-precision equipment and components for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Working with leading international pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations, the company develops customized engineering solutions that support advanced manufacturing and sterile production processes.

As part of a collaborative and agile engineering team, you will contribute to the development of tailored technical solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to transform complex customer requirements into manufacturable products.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in sterile manufacturing or fill & finish processes
, and enjoys combining technical design with customer-focused engineering.

This is a permanent position within the Engineering department.

• Design and customize high-precision mechanical components and assemblies to meet customer-specific requirements.
• Translate customer specifications into practical engineering solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance with process requirements.
• Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Collaborate with process and engineering specialists to incorporate operational parameters into optimized product designs.
• Modify and improve existing products while identifying opportunities for design optimization and continuous improvement.
• Support the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through validation, industrialization, and production transfer.
• Coordinate with external manufacturing partners to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of components.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable quality standards, manufacturing requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical reviews, design validation activities, and cross-functional engineering projects.

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
• Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Polymechanics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience as a CAD Design Engineer in mechanical engineering, industrial equipment, or process systems.
• Experience working in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or another highly controlled manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of GMP principles and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar 3D design platforms.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and product development.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Comfortable interacting directly with customers and presenting technical concepts.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Fluent in French and English
