Global Commodity Manager 100%
COMET AG – a leading Swiss technology company with over 75 years of expertise in X‑ray and radio‑frequency technology. We develop and produce innovative high‑tech components and systems that contribute to safer, more efficient and sustainable production, mobility and communication. The role is located in Flamatt (FR), full‑time, permanent and starts immediately.
Responsibilities- Lead and execute global commodity strategies, driving sourcing decisions aligned with NPI, R&D and overall supply chain objectives
- Ensure cross‑functional alignment on cost models, RFQs, pricing strategies and commercial contracts
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships with a strong focus on supply risk mitigation, contract management and total cost optimization
- Assess supplier capabilities and drive performance improvements through structured initiatives to continuously lower total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Act as senior escalation point for supplier and commodity‑related matters while ensuring supply chain readiness for NPI and product transfers
- At least 6–7 years of experience in commodity management, including negotiation, ERP systems (SAP preferred) and supplier development
- Proven experience in electrical assemblies manufacturing, with PCBA knowledge considered a strong advantage
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence vendors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Strategic, analytical and solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive commodity strategies
- Excellent English skills and confident presentation abilities;
German skills are a plus - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management or a similar field is very welcomed
