Chemist – AC Biode

As an inventor and chemist, you will refine the catalysts to depolymerize plastic and organic waste with Dr. Atsushi, Co‑Founder & CTO, in our own 300‑sqm laboratory. You can join technology fairs and grant applications.

• Implement organic and inorganic synthesis and handle various chemicals for testing.
• Operate vacuum and pressure devices, and manage combustible and inert gases.
• Study materials science (organic, inorganic, hybrid, polymer, natural polymer) and catalysts (surface chemistry, chemical reactions).
• Operate measuring devices: XRD, XRF, XPS, XAFS, UV‑vis, FTIR, Raman, terahertz spectrometer, SEM‑EDS, GC‑MS, LC‑MS, electrochemical measuring devices (AC impedance, battery charge/discharge, amperometry), and LB film‑making devices.
• Write scientific papers (example: sample paper).
• Write patent applications (example: sample patent).

• Working experience in chemical synthesis and evaluation at laboratory and factory scale (300 kg – 2 t reactors), vacuum vapor deposition, and battery design, development, and optimization.
• Experience with measurement at synchrotron radiation facilities, such as Spring‑8.
• Knowledge of noble‑metal electrodes (platinum single/polycrystal) and battery materials and components, performance, impedance, testing, data analysis, and failure modes.
• Experience developing products from research through commercial delivery.
• Experience in enzyme immobilization, Co‑gamma sterilization, polymer modifications, and chemical synthesis.
• Experience implementing product‑development processes (APQP).
• Familiarity with DOE, FMEA, and Taguchi methodologies.
