Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in the development of medical devices, particularly in catheter design.
- Extensive background in catheter design and development, preferably at a senior or principal engineering level.
- Demonstrated success managing the complete product lifecycle of catheter sub-assemblies.
- Strong technical expertise in materials, manufacturing methods, and testing techniques relevant to catheter development.
- Capability to lead technically while also performing as an individual contributor.
- Outstanding communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
- Act as the technical leader for catheter development initiatives, offering guidance, mentoring, and expertise to cross-functional teams.
- Manage comprehensive product development processes, covering concept generation, feasibility assessment, design, prototyping, testing, verification/validation, and design transfer.
- Oversee the creation of catheter sub-assemblies, with a firm grasp of materials, methodologies, manufacturing processes, and performance expectations.
- Collaborate with teams across manufacturing, quality, clinical, and regulatory areas to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Engage in practical technical implementation while contributing strategically to planning, risk management, and project milestones.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within the engineering group.
We are seeking a talented Senior Lead Catheter Development Engineer to join our expanding R&D team in Fridley, MN. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to take on increased leadership responsibility while remaining actively engaged in technical work. You will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation catheter technologies within a collaborative and innovative environment, working closely with various departments across the organization.
The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000, plus bonus, based on your experience.
