Under the direction of the LADC Supervisor (Treatment Director), the LADC provides direct services to individuals with substance use disorders (many of whom may also have a mental illness). The LADC also receives clinical/program supervision/oversight from the Treatment Director and from the Consulting Mental Health Professional during staff/clinical review meetings. This position will focus primarily on providing outpatient treatment to help individuals reach their goals in the recovery process.

The duties include providing both group and individual treatment/rehabilitation to adults at the outpatient program.

Main

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment and rehabilitative services to individuals using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, psychological rehabilitation, and incorporation of harm reduction and person‑centered principles.
  • Conduct groups that include group counseling, skills training, peer support, daily living skills, health‑related issues, mindfulness, and psycho‑educational groups.
  • Provide individual services that address a variety of needs determined by the unique circumstances of the individuals served that may include family counseling, talk therapy, trauma therapy, and other social service functions.
  • Provide outreach, monitoring, transition services and assistance with needs as clinically indicated to the individual which may include driving individuals in your vehicle as needed.
  • Conduct and or coordinate a comprehensive assessment of the individual’s substance use and mental health problems according to 245G guidelines.
  • Complete an individual treatment plan with the person based on the assessment and the individual’s recovery goals that complies with program regulations.
  • Complete discharge summaries according to program policy/245G regulation.
  • Communicate with all other relevant others to ensure services are well coordinated.
  • Completes all required written documentation according to program policy/245G regulation.
  • Participates in staff meetings, all required in‑service training, and meetings with clinical supervisor.
  • Attends in‑service training as required by MHR for this position.
Minimum

Education and Experience:
  • Must be licensed as an LADC from the state of Minnesota and must comply with rules adopted under Minnesota statutes, chapter 148C.
