Production Operator I NA
Position OverviewThe Production Operator I reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for operating equipment and all affiliated processes, including preparing raw materials and packaging, unloading, packing and labeling, in compliance with legal and company rules.
Primary Responsibilities- Preparation of raw materials and packaging: identifying & preparing the right quantities and transporting them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviations from normal, and noting start and finish of process.
- Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures.
- Monitoring equipment and keeping processes running at desired run rates.
- Completing the initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Checking labels and packaging material to ensure correct labeling following existing rules and instructions.
- Packaging the final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
- Carrying out all operations in compliance with expected quality standards, operating procedures, and respecting all legal and company EHS rules.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the area of responsibility.
- Carrying out any other duties requested by the Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Basic educational degree or high‑school diploma or general education diploma.
- No prior experience required.
- Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions.
- Availability to work in shifts.
- 1 year experience in an industrial environment.
- Understanding of basic English.
- Required to stand for long periods of time.
- Walk and climb stairs.
- Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
- Stretch and reach with arms extended.
- Stoop and bend.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $45,000.00‑$55,000.00.
