Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. Recommends items for sale and assists with product selection and suggestive selling.
• Registers customer purchases, handles payments, processes refunds and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, maintains records, and prices merchandise as directed.
• Performs pharmacy-related duties as directed by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and checking for interactions; assists pharmacists with workflow scheduling.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures related to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program; complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
• Handles routine telephone calls and other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
• Assists with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments; supports asset protection and handles related claims.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products where applicable, and maintains store displays and merchandising as directed (including promotional and seasonal resets).
• Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and shelf maintenance; demonstrates knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provides photo area services as needed (digital passport photo, poster printing, etc.) and supports web pick-up responsibilities (Picture Care Plus).
• Maintains clean, neat, and orderly store condition; supports general store upkeep and policy compliance; completes special assignments as needed.

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state-required certification/registration.
• Attends training and completes requested continuing education; maintains knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
