• Leadandmanageundergroundconstructioncrewsindailyfieldoperationsandproduction.
• Performaccurateandconsistentlocatingfordirectionaldrillstoensuresafeandcompliantborepaths.
• Coordinateworkplans,materials,andscheduleswith

• Conductpre-jobinspectionsandconfirmallutilitiesarelocatedandpotholedpriortowork.
• Ensureproperjobsitesetupandteardown,includingalltrafficcontrolandsafetymeasures.
• Overseecrewperformance,safety compliance,andjobqualitythroughouteachproject.
• Operatedrillingorlocatingequipmentasneededtomaintainproductiongoals.
• Completeandsubmitdailyreports,production logs,as-builts,andsafetydocumentation.
• Serveastheprimarypointofcontactforcustomers,inspectors,andinternalstakeholders.
• Identifyandreportvehicleandequipmentmaintenanceneedsto Fleet Services .
• Maintainprofessionaljobsiteappearanceandensurecrewsuphold Universal'sstandards.
• Coach,mentor,andevaluatecrewmemberstopromotegrowthandskilldevelopment.

• Minimumof3yearsofexperienceinundergroundtelecommunicationsorutilityconstruction.
• Minimumof2yearsofprovenleadershiporsupervisoryexperience.
• Strongexperiencelocatingfordirectionaldrillingoperations(required).
• Valid driver'slicense;
  
  CDLpreferred.
• Abilitytoreadandinterpretconstructionprints,permits,andjobplans.
• In-depthknowledgeofsafeworkpractices,utility locating,andundergroundinstallationprocesses.

• Experienceoperatingboth Ditch Witchand Vermeerdirectionaldrills .
• Strongcommunicationandleadershipskillsacrossdiversefieldteams.
• Proficientintroubleshootingfieldissuesandcoordinatingmultiplecrews.
• Knowledgeofboretracking,locating systems,andrestorationprocesses.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel ,Outlook,anddigitalreportingtools.

• Abilitytoliftandcarryupto
  60lbs.regularly.
• Frequent bending,standing,kneeling,andwalkingoveruneventerrain.
• Mustbeabletoworkoutdoorsyear-roundinvaryingweatherconditions.

• Typicalscheduleis Monday-Friday,withflexibilityrequiredforevenings,weekends,andovertimeasdictatedbyworkload,weather,orprojecttimelines.
• Regularandpunctualattendanceisanessentialfunctionofthisrole.

• Complete Universal Services 'Foremanonboardingandleadershipmoduleswithinthefirst
  90days.
• Demonstrateproficiencyindrilllocating,safety leadership,andfieldreportingprocedures.
• Developafullunderstandingofprojectcoordinationandcrewmanagement.

• Participate in Universal'scontinuedleadershipandCLD(Career&Leadership Development) programs.
• Mentorcrewmembersandsupporttheirprogressionintoadvancedroles.
