• Perform diagnostic microbiology examination and report on specimens, aiding patient treatment and care.
• Use interpretative skills on culture plates and complex analysers combined with the Laboratory Information Management Computer System (LIMS) to deliver exceptional diagnostic services.
• Process various samples, including blood, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, faeces, sputum, tissues, and secretions, and interpret them for pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.

• HCPC registration and a recognised qualification in biomedical science or equivalent.
• Post‑qualifying experience in the field of biomedical science.
• Essential experience within microbiology.
