Job Overview

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated and reliable individual to join our friendly Logistics team within Receipt and Distribution at Frimley Park Hospital. This is a hands‑on and physically active role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of essential supplies across the hospital.

Visa Sponsorship

This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carrying out internal deliveries and collections of supplies across the hospital site using electric vehicles.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Receipting goods on the Trust’s e‑procurement system (full training provided).
  • Collecting items for return, liaising with the Procurement team.
  • Picking and packing stock held within the Logistics remit.
  • Ensuring the Distribution area remains safe, clean, and well organised.
  • Supporting additional Logistics tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety, including manual handling awareness.
Qualifications
  • Good basic level of education
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certified in the use of electric vehicles
  • Stock management NVQ
Experience
  • Demonstrable IT experience with MS Office
  • Good interpersonal and customer skills.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience working with stock control in a busy time‑critical environment
  • Experience of computerised stores management / stock control systems
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
Skills
  • Evidence of ability to prioritise and plan own work
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
Special Requirements
  • The position will involve the manual lifting and handling of miscellaneous goods and equipment over prolonged periods.
